Hi

I just joined this forum because i was interested in venus flytrap. I ordered some venus flytrap seeds but i asked the seller to send me some pictures of the seeds as i read that there are many sellers who are selling fake seeds . Can you identify if seeds are real or not ?

They do look like real VFT seeds to me.

The shape is definitely off. But the color and size matches up.

I would not buy these seeds, in any case.

To me they look real at first glance but after looking closely I'm not sure. I don't know how much seeds can vary from plant to plant but normally VFT seeds are tear drop shaped, very shiny, most of them don't have dents/dimples in the like a few of those do. Those also have a pretty large seam down the side which I've not seen so pronounced on VFT seeds.

Thankfully i didn't buy them i just asked the seller to send me a picture of the seeds . I think he also bought them from china who sell such unrecognizable seeds . Its really hard to get seeds in Pakistan.

I don't think they are VFT seeds.
