Hi there!

How long have you had the flytrap? If you recently got the plant and it is not used to its new home, then cutting off the flower is a good idea so it doesn't steal too much energy from the plant.

Where do you live? Flowers take a lot of energy from flytraps and usually start to grow during spring, the beginning of the growing season. But if your plant is supposed to be going dormant then it is best to cut the flower off.

if you snip it off that will stimulate the momma plant to put out babies from the rhizome; I did that with my BZ Razorback and now I have like 8 plants lol...
