By keeping clones I mean, when you sell a seed-grown to a customer, do you always have a clone, you know, in case it turns into a pretty plant later?

I got a seed grown one from you and it has replicated and grown so big. I must've divided it into 6 plants in 6 months. It's a very magenta-looking typical and pretty vigorous.

We normally only sell flytraps as seed-grown after they've been evaluated and we've decided not to name them. This decision is usually based on the fact that there is already an existing cultivar that looks similar or that the characteristics of the plant are fairly common. For that reason we don't retain any copies.

But we only sell very nice looking or somehow unique flytraps as seed grown so it wouldn't surprise me if you got a really nice one. And if you think it's unique enough to be name worthy, then it's your plant to do so with.

Nope. Once we decide that a given plant isn't one we want to name and propagate, we just put them in trays to be sold as seed-growns (if they're unique enough) or typical flytraps.
