If so, yes that works, were it not that something actually tries to grow there.

Your better off buying a compact fluorescent bulb labeled "6500k" or daylight (bright white)

Yes, but not from the sun sunlight although they get light from the sun part of the time at least four hours of the day. But it's still a light bulb
