Hi all,

I have a bird problem! they dig soil from my planters and tear leaves to eat insects from them! sounds rediculous but it is true.

My Sarracenia is fine, probably they eat bugs without sufficient harm for the plant. As for VFT, never had I seen such a mess!

What do you think?

I didn't even think about the birds being a problem! You could try getting a bird feeder so maybe they would eat that instead of your plant. Or you could put up some chicken wire around the top like a dome. I hope you can figure something out! :)

I had this issue last year, the dang birds killed a bunch of my pygmies by pulling the moss out for nesting material.
I went and bought some tree netting at my local garden store to wrap around my racks. Bugs still get in, but birds stay out.
