Ask questions about how to grow and care for Venus Flytraps

When I bought the plant, the guy told me it was 3 plants together.
I make sure the moss is moist and I leave it always next to my window.

A few days ago I cut all the dead leaves and heads of the plant. The last picture is what it looked like right after I cut all the dead leaves off. There was even a flower stalk growing, or at least I think that's what it was. but it died in one day. I'm not sure if me touching it killed it, or what.

Now, more parts of the plant are browning. There's even a "new growth" next to the biggest trap that has a brown spot on it, is this normal???

Also a few are yellow colored, what does this mean? There is one that lays right on the moss that is yellowing and another in the center.

One other question : When my biggest trap dies.. Will a just as big trap come up in its place?

The flytrap in the photos looks extremely healthy to me. I don't see anything to be concerned about.

Older leaves turn yellow and die. During the spring, many flytraps will shed their winter leaves to gain energy to put out larger spring traps. In the process, the winter leaves yellow a bit as the nutrients leave them and they are used to create the new spring leaves.

Not always. It depends on the time of the year. In the winter all big traps die and are replaced with low-lying, small traps that are held through the winter months.

it's normal for VTS sold from retailers like walmart or lowes to look like that.mainly because poor conditions.if there is a flower stalk cut it off,it takes lots of energy to grow one.
