I think Steve has said that it is good to get some air circulation at least once every couple of days by opening the container and fanning the medium.
Poking holes allows for some ventilation, but I am pretty sure it is also good to open the container and letting some fresh air in.
Peace!

the green circles represents the germanated seeds. red of course means that there are just seeds there.

Lol yea i actually i found 2 more that are germanating. . . I'm not really sure on how fast straight water germanation is in comparison. So basically i have a total of 9 germanated seeds :)

Also good luck you two! I hope you have more success than I ^_^

Alright. . . so im posting this pic a day early because i forgot that i will be busy almost all day tomorrow. .

Sooo. . .this is beginning Week 4 germanation. As you can see many of the seeds have germanated.

orange = a seed that i know the roots are coming through, but its not quite there yet.
red = seed not germanated
green = seed germanated

Yea, its been quite a success. . . like all of the other pictures, this is only a sample of the seeds. The population is basically the same picture as the sample!

I'm expecting to start seeing leaves by the end of this new week!!!

Enjoy!

Tell him that if he does it next time, he won't have a ball anymore. Tell him you're going to pop it. :twisted:
