There is no way to tell without genetic testing, unless u buy from steve and matt who can be trusted without question. I got some typicals frm lowes that rival my low giant easy! I wont say where i got the low giant frm It was not purchased from FTS,, we live and learn... My typicals look more like a low giant than the so called low giant. Another factor is age of age of the plant a young B52 will not be as large as an old low giant.
Enjoy the plant give it a few years and you might be surprised.

stry67 what is the red thing in the pic? is it something for size reference or something to check soil conditions.

They still dont look like B52's to me, but maybe give them time!!

B-52s can get very red under the right conditions. This is a pot of young B-52s that get a lot of full sun.

Mine only have a tint of red in them so far.
Did yours turn that red in only one growing season?

Nice, I always tought B52 had a slightly ugly red, but now I love em!!!

All the leaves are from this growing season. They spend about half the time in the greenhouse which is about 50% shade. I move them outside for 1-2 days in full sun then back in the greenhouse for a few days. When outside they get 6-7 hours of sun. I think my flytraps do best and color up best in my climate with intermittant periods of full sun mixed with periods of partial shade.
In North Carolina most wild flytraps I saw were growing under of near a species of native pine tree called 'Longleaf Pine'. They have thin widely spaced foliage and provide filtered sun mixed with full sun. Plus they are shaded by grasses and fallen pine needles. So I try to replicate the part sun/part shade they experience in the wild.
