Im trying to determine if I should get another 105 watt cfl, or if it would benefit the same ordering two 65 watt cfls. Should we be focusing on lights with more lumens, or does it still benefit the same having a smaller amount of wattage but more lights, ideas?

I know this, but whats confusing is... If you purchase two 105 watt cfl's does it benefit the plants the same as if you had 4 60 watt cfls. My question is does lights effect growth by the wattage of the bulb or by the ammount of lumens

You should focus on the amount of lumens. The more lumens the better. However, you should find that in most cases the rule of thumb is that will be a high wattage cfl. However, I have seen 40W 48 inch Daylight 6500K lights with over 2900 lumens and the same H8 40W 48 inch 5500K lamps only have 2350 lumens. You want Daylight and the highest lumen lamps output available. Good Luck on light sources. Richard
