Here's what I'm thinking so far, for the name of this Venus Flytrap-- Some word that means "red," followed by some noun. For red, I'm thinking: Crimson, Carnelian, Carmine, Ruby, Vermilion; rouge and cherry are others. For the noun, I'm thinking: Predator, Princess, Crusher, Vixen, and there are potentially lots of other choices.

Any suggestions for other words that mean red? Other nouns? Here are some name examples--

Crimson Crusher
Carnelian Princess
Vermilion Vixen
Ruby Predator

You like that name too, jht-union? If so, I'll give it serious consideration. You know, I like your "enchantment" and "siren" suggestions too. But I do also kind of like Crimson Crusher (pretty but DEADLY!). :D

I think the name is attractive, for someone looking to buy a VFT at the FTS, FTS crimson Crusher sounds interesting to me, also another name that i think would be striking to people would be FTS " Crimson predator", i kinda like it, it sounds more interesting, something big. And something good about having the word Crimson in it, since you guys have already a FTS Crimson Sawtooth, then people would be greatly interested in buying another clone from you with the name FTS " Crimson Predator" or FTS " Crimson Crusher", FTS " Crimson enchantment" , FTS " Crimson Siren", FTS " Crimson delight"

Not bad, i like it.

i like this one too FTS " Marston Dragon" , since there's already a drosera after this name, i think it would be nice to have a VFT name after the name Marston Dragon!

I still like FTS "Scarlet Vixen," because the plant looks so seductive. But I like FTS "Crimson Crusher" too, and lots of others. I guess we'll just have to think about it. There have been so many good names suggested so far that it is now confusing to even think about. Maybe by letting go of it for a while, the best name will float to the top of one's mind. :)
