Hi guys -

Got a couple of Nepethes "Red Leopard" (Venticosa X Maxima) hybrids for sale. One's a rooted cutting from spring of '11 an other is a young adult that started as a rooted cutting in spring of '10. I had 'em up before for trade in the NYC area only, but not only didn't I get any local hits, I had a bunch of people tell me they'd be fine to ship. I'm fast running outta window space and I have a Cephalotus "Hummer's Giant" and a "Big Boy" coming in the end of this week. Ok, so the scoop.. bought the parent plant from Sarracenia N.W. in '09. Apparently, it's originally a Boreno Exotics creation. It's done extremely well living on my South facing Brooklyn window sill. I water and spray it twice a day with distilled water and fertilize the pitchers with a weak "Maxsea" 16/16/16 solution about once a month or so. Like a lot of Nepenthes hybrids, It's extremely hardy and as you can see, the parent plant throws some very pretty pitchers. It'd be a great first Nepenthes and/or a fine addition to any collection. I did some hunting around and found a rooted cutting the size of the smaller one I'm offering for sale on the Cascade Carnivores site for $18.00. Here's a pic of the smaller rooted cutting I got up for grabs:

I figure this one would probably go for around $25-$30.

Ideally, I'd like to trade for stuff that's worth somewhere in the same ballpark, but lemmie know what you've got and maybe I'll go for it. I *really* need the window space!

Things I know I'm interested in:
Live Sphagnum

Seed grown Dionea and any cultivars that are NOT:
Long Red Fingers
Big Mouth
B52
Dutch
FTS Maroon Monster
Red Dragon
Pink Venus
Fine Tooth X Red
Dente

Any locale specific Sarracenia Purpurea or interesting cultivars

Drosera spathulata, capensis "alba" or "all red" and other Drosera and Pings.

Or ??? Surprise me! Although again, got widow space issues so small stuff if it's tropical or temperate stuff I can grow outside on the fire escape. I'll be SURE and post if/when the plants are spoken for.
Thanks for your interest!
Tony T

This one's going to Dubstep -

Notice the technological marvel I developed for shipping Nepenthes, now and forever known as "The NepCapsul!" (tm). I know it looks very much like the container a 100 count CD-R comes in, but it's not. It's much, much more expensive than that. Like, 100X more $$. Most of that cost goes towards "research".

Anyway, ok.. let me know how it gets there, ok Dub?

Best, Tony T

P.S. Everybody else, I still have another, much smaller Nep cutting for trade!
