Hi, I accidentally bought MG perlite and I soaked it and rinsed for 3 hours. Is it still harmful to the vft?

A TDS meter is the only way to know for certain. You can pick one up on amazon for anywhere between 7 and 30 bucks.

Yeah it is unfortunately! Do not use any of miracle grows products. I also made the mistake of using their perlite but I managed to save my plants just in time.

You sir are lucky, I made this mistake with my first 3 plants. 2 VFT clones were dead in 2 days, I actually kept the rhizomes alive for a while but they never grew new leaves and eventually rotted. 3rd plant was a sarracenia and it eventually rebounded. Basically don't use it, it sucks wasting money but you can find another use for it.
