My trap is growing loops ! See center of photo. Loops growing for weeks. Normal?

It's hard to tell in the pic but it looks to me like the trap end of the leaf has become stuck in the crown. Is the plan't rhizome burried deep? If so I wouldn't be surprised if the growing leaf became stuck and formed the loop, but I've never seen this before myself.

The rhizome is just below the surface of the dirt. There are 2 “loops”, one large and one small in the photo. Both have the 2 ends of the stem growing out of the center of the plant...forming loops. Very weird. Something new ?

Traps are getting stuck under the surface of the soil. This happens from time to time with the longer leafed varieties.

It would be good to try to gently pry them out from beneath the soil or perhaps repot the plant entirely. It could be potted too deeply which is causing the traps to not fully clear the surface of the soil.
