I’m going on a week-long vacation tomorrow and no one is able to take care of my VFT while I’m gone.

What should I do about water? Should I give it extra water before I go? What should I do to keep it alive?

One trap is molding and I will not be able to watch it. Should I cut it off or just leave it? I included a picture for reference.

Also, is there anything specific I should do when I get back besides just resuming usual care?

Don't worry about the black traps. Just leave them until they turn completely black and shrivel up and come off with a gentle tug.

As for watering, I have no idea where you live, what the growing conditions are or anything else about the size of the pot, how quickly the plant normally goes through water, etc. If you normally only have to water once a week, then it will be fine to leave for a week after watering it. But if you have to water it every day, I'd put it in enough water to last the 7 days you'll be gone.
