Is a Vertical or Horizontal Laminar Flow hood/bench the best ? Just asking because I might draw a
little blueprint or such and check some costs for build one and need to know this before I can do this.

Physical footprint: vertical. Efficacy: horizontal. However, a skilled operator can use either with the same degree of efficacy; it is a matter of preference and lab design. The majority of professional labs use horizontal air flow as it's marginally harder to put contaminated items (hands, etc.) between the filter face and the work. But a careful operator simply has to bear in mind not to put hands and tools over an open container when working with a vertical flow.
