Pardon my curiosity, but what is this karma thing that is next to everyone's profile? I've noticed it, but what does it represent?

speaking of karma...My Name is Earl got cancelled and i would just like to publicly state for the record that that completely sucks.

Karma is earned by doing things on the main site (not the forums) like friending other members, writing blogs and commenting on other people's blogs among other things.

I've always wondered about that... But it's almost like how active you are on the section, I think.

yeah, we need a button on the forum or something...

if someone helps someone, or likes a comment it can always add a few small points to ur karma or something as well..
since I dont use the rest of the site.. just the forums..

I could write something to do that. Also, I could work the Karma into the forum more by displaying it below the user details on the right. When I have time, I'll plan on doing that. I've been terribly busy lately plus I've been out in the mountains climbing this past weekend and will be for the rest of the summer. Summers are always more of a time crunch for me because I'm out so much. Hopefully I'll find some time soon to get to that though.

What is with the color coded names?

I want Fuschia; or even Seafoam would be pleasant. Can You make that happen for Me, please Matt?

Red: Site Admin (Matt and Steve D)
Green: Moderator (users who can lock posts, make stickies, ban, etc.)
Orange: Super User (users who post a lot and/or are very helpful, but you have to "sign up" to try to get it - go here and click the "Usergroups" tab.)

That icon only appears when an admin or moderator makes a thread a sticky.
