Took this pulling a lil over a month ago. Most of it died and started molding so I removed the moldy part and a week later I either have some kind of moss growing or a new VFT. Anyone know if I was successful at my first pulling?

let it really establish itself before you transplant, so its got a lot of health and vigor to recover with.

at the moment it has no roots or leaves, and is at its most fragile

What kind of media did you strike it in? The best thing to do is put it in some live sphagnum moss. It really increases the strike rate.

Each nub is a different plant growing  ?!? I have to start taking more pullings. It was relatively simple.

Oh yeah. Quick way to get a lot of plants. I believe each callous, more or less, will leaf up and produce its own roots and rhizome. Be patient with it, though. I hear moving them too early can kill them before they get started. ;)
