Hey everyone, I just signed up and I am from southern california. I recently purchased 2 venus fly traps from home depot and I am looking to get some basic advice on how to raise one properly. Looking forward to learning and hopefully one day contribute to this forum.

You should be able to find answers to most of your questions from either the articles on the main site page or from some experienced growers on the various forums.

Welcome to the site, and congratulations on your new plants! There are three golden rules to always remember with the venus fly trap-
1. Peat Moss/Perlite 50-50 growing media...
2. Distilled/Reverse Osmosis/ Rain/ water...
3. And of course, lots of sunlight
