Has anyone ever heard of using hydrogen peroxide as a fungicide prior to placing seeds in the cold stratification. I was reading this article http://www.gardenzine.co.uk/peroxide.html
He also claims higher germination percentages... Just wondering ?

Rob Co of The Sarracenia Project mixes a bit of hydrogen peroxide with water when stratifying his seeds. I took his advice and did the same with my own this year. I still got some mold on my seeds, so keep checking them periodically, no matter what!

As for higher germination, I can't speculate on that. I've never seen Rob mention it either.

I've never had fungus affect a plant but I bought a Bayer fungicide that was recommended by someone else in case I ever do have an issue. I've never needed to use it so I can't really tell you how effective it is :(
