Hello!

I recently went to the only seller specialised in carnivorous plants in my area. After looking around their store I found them selling some B-52s. Knowing their reputation for being one of the biggest Venus Flytrap cultivars. I instantly got one. Despite its small size.

I then went to the internet to see just how big they really get and it told me that their traps can grow over 2 inches or 5cm in size. Is this really true? I used a ruler as a reference but I just couldn't imagine them being that big. The biggest that I ever managed out of a typical was 3cm maybe cutting it close to 3.5cm on some.

Not sure if they get THAT big but DCXL gets pretty darn close for me. None of my 3 B52's got that big last year.

Just have to wait and see, every plant is different and there are so many giant clones that you just have to experiment to see which clone gets the largest for you.

I've been growing B-52 for over a decade now and have never had a 2-inch trap. The spring traps on DC XL have gotten close to 5cm (2 inches) but B-52 usually maxes out around 1.75-inch traps for me. But flytraps do grow differently in different climates so perhaps the B-52 will do well for you.
