Hello, i just got my very first Venus Fly Trap and i hope that here i can get hints and tips on how to care for it. I Live in the UK.

Welcome to the forum I am also in the UK. You will find everything you could possibly need to know all here in one place. Most guys on here are based in the US and are all really helpful I don't find any UK or European based forums anywhere near as good as this one. Enjoy

Welcome aboard. There is a great mix of newbies and old-timers here. Along with a couple of undeniable experts. Everybody seems to play nicely together; much nicer than some other groups I'm in. My best advice to you is what was said above and to not hesitate to ask a question.

Hi Ghulegirl.

I have a venus flytrap which was bought from a garden centre last year. Mine seems to be coping well as its growing outside (I live in Bridlington, East Yorkshire) in times of drought I use Deionised water (for steam irons and batteries) and use 'Carnivorous Plant Repotting Mix'.

Despite the traps turning black, there is a baby flytrap emerging.
