Hi there!

My partner and I have been debating on getting a VFT for about six months now and decided to take the plunge - they seem super interesting and fun to grow and he has a serious green thumb (whereas I would like to cultivate one). I just ordered a young plant from the shop and I was reading about their dormancy stage so I decided to join the forums to have more experienced people get me to not kill my poor plant when it arrives.

Welcome to the forum! Flytrapcare.com has the best comprehensive info I've seen to get you started successfully! Too bad it won't be much to look at until spring, but good job being prepared for dormancy! Just remember, no fertilizer/nutrients, keep it moist but not wet, and give it full sun after acclimating it.
