It's actually great news that there is 302,000 vfts living in the wild between NC and SC.

I didn't do much research for past counts, but the article gave the tone that this is an uptick in population.

I was thinking just a few thousand but Wikipedia says 33,000 vfts in the wild in 2015. Still that's a huge leap to 302,000.
