One of the Drosera rotundifolias in my community pot of them is putting up an unusual looking, fused flowerstalk. I don't know what season D. rotundifolia is supposed to flower during, but I wasn't expecting it to flower now (mid November, northern hemisphere, when my Flytraps are all sliding into dormancy).

That's really bizarre! Mine is definitely dormant right now, but yours seems to think differently. Strangest flower spike I've ever seen.

I'm puzzled too. However, this particular D. rotundifolia and its two pot-mates had been growing for quite a few months inside under artificial light. I moved it into the cooler greenhouse just a few weeks ago, and that change may have triggered the production of the flower stalk, I'm guessing. The other two rotundifolias are not producing flowerstalks (not yet anyway). :)

The first flowers of this Drosera rotundifolia opened today. They look so small and beautiful that I took another photo.
