Do mealy bugs hate humidity?

Hey guys so I have an Alien VFT and I’ve been cleaning out all the mealy bugs and stuff but there are really tiny ones still and was wondering if the mealy bugs hate humidity also I’m sure it got mealy bugs from my pineapple plant so should I throw it away? Or try to treat it?

Once they’ve spread there is little you can do. Keep and treat both plants. Usually I’d recommend a systemic (still would for the flytrap) but if you’re going to eat the pineapple you need something organic or topical. Either way, both plants need some treatment. Mealybugs also attack the roots, so whatever you’re clearing out is only part of the infestation, and will not like;y get them all.
