Does anyone know any areas near myrtle beach SC with CP’s? I would really like to take advantage of the situation since we don’t really have VFT’s/Sarrs up here in northern VA.

That looks like an amazing place to visit! I also am hoping to visit the Darlingtonia Wayside in Oregon one day before I croak! Lol.

I just remembered a place in your neck of the woods:

Meadowview Biological Research Station
8390 Fredericksburg Turnpike
Woodford, VA 22580
https://www.pitcherplant.org

I'm not sure if they're open to the public, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

Thankyou! I didn’t know about them @MikeB, I’ll have to check ‘em out.

Do you have any recommendations for any trails to take in green swamp preserve as whole?

This is from Google Maps. Around the lake itself, you will find Utricularia inflata, Drosera intermedia, and Sarracenia flava. A little off of the dirt road, you will find scattered flytraps. The red line is a dirt road that lead to a boardwalk. The boardwalk leads you back into the pocasin that looks like a butterfly. I explored the north 'wing' but haven't done the south. There are clear trails through out and you can see plenty of plants if you look carefully. They are easy to overlook! I saw flytraps, sundews, buttworts, bladderworts, and Sarracenia flava, purpurea, and rubra. You can see photos from my last trip at green-swamp-north-carolina-t52220.html

I would recommend wearing boots. There are snakes and lots of wildlife, including bears. I never saw a bear but did interrupt a massive wild turkey.

Speaking of snakes: Coral snakes are native to southeastern North Carolina. If you're in the Green Swamp and see a brightly colored snake, remember this old adage:
Red touch yellow, kill a fellow.
Red touch black, friend to Jack.
In the decades that I've lived here, I've never seen a coral snake in the wild.

You have better odds of crossing paths with copperheads, cottonmouths, and rattlesnakes (3 species of them in North Carolina, all of them found in that part of the state). Most snakes don't want anything to do with people, but stay alert.

And if you're near any large bodies of water, keep an eye out for alligators (they usually don't want anything to do with people, either).

Thanks for the warning @MikeB, fortunately we didn’t experience any alligators/snakes on our visit :)

Speaking of which, thanks for leading me towards this place!
Unfortunately most of the Sarrs were dormant but we did get to see 2 big purps! We also saw some pings, dews, and traps. We plan on going back in the late summer to fall to really get the full experience.
