I have a standard point-and-shoot Canon camera, and installed CHDK on it so I can take photos in RAW format. However, I'm not sure that it's working. I set the ISO to something like 50 and take a picture, then set it to 1000 and take a picture of the same thing, and my RAW images look identical. Same goes for when I change the shutter speed and the aperture.

Does anyone else use CHDK and have and tips on using it? Plus, any recommendations for free RAW image processing programs? I've tried some freeware called Iris, but it feels like something out of NASA and is far too complicated for me. I also have Picasa, but I suspect it of processing the images itself before letting me near them.
