From the freezer compartment of the fridge when melted for the VFT ? as we have not had rain for a while here in Scotland ( :shock: ) and i am running out.

ABSOLUTELY. Providing of course that it doesn't contain crumbs or other bits of food! You can also use the condensation that drips from refrigerated air conditioning units.

Isn't there bacteria in the freezer? Or does it not effect the plants?

I don't know , but I thought that bacteria could not survive at freezing temps. I also believe that bacteria is everywhere else including all soil / water mixes .

Right you are! But there are some bacteria that can't survive heat, and that being said, I think that is part of why meat is always safest when it's cooked. (Safest is not a word, right? Well whatever, you know what I mean.)
