so i fed my vft a june beetle larva, but it poked holes into the trap. Can it still digest it? :shock:

No. That trap will no longer seal in order to digest properly. However, don't cut it off, as it's still green and can still photosynthesize.
Now, take the larva and crush it's little skull. Put it into another trap and trigger it to close. Come back in about 30 minutes and gently squeeze the trap about five times, maybe do that again in another 30 minutes. That will prompt the trap to seal and digest the grub. A fitting end to a nefarious pest.
