I bought some of the Brunswick County flytrap seeds from Matt last September. They got sown around October 1. I just transplanted two of them into 2 inch pots. Look at the size of this first beast! It is only 4 months old. I can't wait to see what it does this summer! I have about 10 plants that are actively growing and none of them are as big as this one. And while I'm on the topic of seeds, here are some seed bank seedlings that just got upgraded out of the 72 cell tray into 2 inch pots. The taller ones are rubricorpa seeds that I started in April. The bottom left is an alata Night that I started around the same time. Next to it is a purpurea that I selfed. It was started about 18 months ago.

I'm tempted to buy and try, but i have the worst luck in vtf seeds

I noticed your tags say Sarracenia flava rubricorpora x self. Is flava rubricorpora a cultivar?

It is a variety of flava but recent discussions indicate that it doesn't reproduce true from seed.

Yes, you will likely get some rugelii, flava var flava, atropurpurea, cuprea, some actual rubricorpora, and most excitingly, possibly some wicked Var Ornatas .

But they do reproduce through seeds. The seedlings would just be different.

Yes. Appearance seems to be everything.

Yes. That name is a color-variety designation. It doesn't matter what variety the parent plant(s) are.
