So far I know 3 brands

Better Gro: https://www.amazon.com/Better-Gro-Premi ... rchid+moss

Spagmoss: https://www.amazon.com/Sphagnum-Zealand ... s=Spagmoss

Super Moss: https://www.amazon.com/SuperMoss-22325- ... agnum+moss

I also have a two questions.

1. Is there pots that are tall but with good drainage? I learned that venus fly traps(or any carnivorous plant) do better in deeper or taller pots because it allows their roots to grow more, and better roots equal better health for the plant.

2. Are net pots or orchid pots good? Are there deeper or taller varieties available?

We just added some pots to the store that are tall and have very good drainage:

I don't like using net pots or orchid pots for growing flytraps because the soil dries out too quickly to suit my preferred growing methods.

Haha! No, we could get larger sizes and offer them as well! I'll talk about that with Leah :)

Thank you for the info. I try my best to support Matt and the store because they support the community. So I want to see what the largest size he can offer is.

Boss says "no" on any larger sized pots :( Thinks they won't move very quickly because we mostly sell flytraps (which are good in 7-inch deep pots) and because the larger pots are quite a bit more expensive.

Thanks for checking. Don't tell her I said this, but she may be right.Image Most people tend to divide their plants out so the 5 x 5 is a pretty good size for 1 or 2 plants.

The 5x5 is much bigger than you would think. Could easily fit 4-6 adult plants in one.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This is one of my 5 1/2" square pots 6" tall from fall. Note the plants are hanging over each edge by an inch.

My apologies Kenneth for side tracking your thread.Image

Nice! As part of our new "FlytrapStore Buy-it-back program" we would love to buy any of those divisions from you when you divide the plants! Though it sounds like you will probably retain quite a few of them to keep that cool crowded look :)
