What's the best fixture to use with CFLs ?

I'm not sure if I'm going to go with fluorescent tubes or CFLs yet... It seems that, depending on the size of the fixture, the CFLs might take up more space, height-wise - as far as the space I have to work with between shelves.

But I'm not sure. Still trying to figure out how my set up is going to be.

Thanks! :)

i couldn't say which fixture is the best, but how about something like this fixture/canopy from a pet/reptile store, that you can simply rest ontop of a tank

with these particular ones as you can see in the photos, you can get them in different sizes, and they take 1, 2, or 3 cfl bulbs up to 26 watts.

I looked at getting that one, but keep in mind its up to 26 watts... and around here.. 40watts and higher are preffered.. I got away from that and just went with a dome that can maintain up to 70watt+ its just not worth burning ur house down with that crappy cheap thing

lol, yeah, the trouble i've found is finding cfl bulbs of this sort of type higher than 26 watts, well certainly not in the uk as far as i've found.
