Depends on the hurricane season as to have much rain we usually get in late July and August...it can get dry during that time if no storms come in.
I think your area would be good for Sarracenia oreophila. They dislike sitting in water during the winter and mid/late summer, because their natural habitat dries up in the late summer. They grow phyllodia (dormant non carni leaves) in the mid summer.
