OMG...

This stuff stinks!!!

Ok, I have one pot that is having serious fungal issues, it is a drosera, so it doesn't like being dry... I tried putting a fan on it, giving it more light, and letting it dry out slightly.

None of that worked... this called for extreme measures. So I purchased some liquid sulfur, the bottle recommended 8 Table Spoons to 1 gallon of water, so I diluted it a bit more, I did 2 table spoons to a gallon... the smell is gawd awful! especially when you atomize it (through a spray bottle). I have now thuroughly sprayed it all over my plant and pot, I instantly sprayed it off the plant with some RO water. Now we will see if it kills the fungus.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Did I mention it stinks...

I think with sulphur based fungicide you're best off creating the full-strength solution as directed on the bottle/bag. You gotta kill that crap dead. ;) It's not like fertilizer for neps.

I could be wrong, but I've just never seen anyone ever recommend using a diluted dose of fungicide.

Hey, that stuff doesn't stink, does it?

Hi Veronis,

This was liquid sulfur... not a sulfur based fungicide :)

That is why is further diluted it... and I hate to suggest this.. but it seems to have killed the fungus on contact O_O I am still monitoring this closely... but literally 4-5 sprays from my bottle and the fungus seems to be dead.

and no.... it reeks!

Interesting. Any evidence of negative effects on the plants?

Yes there is some... but I think they will survive. Some of the tips are turning black (where they touch the soil). I figure a couple of top waters and it should be fine.
