My sarr was sitting out side all winter and I just felt the pot and it was frozen solid, this was for probably the past two weeks, I'm in zone 9a Sierra Nevadas. It is long sphagnum moss, I brought them inside to let them thaw.

Happy Growing,

Even if all the leaves have died back, the plants may still be fine. In colder regions Sarracenia will lose all their leaves over the winter due to the extended freezes. The best way to check is to see if the rhizome is still firm. If it is, you're fine.

Some sarrs grow in Canada, so they can take winter freezes
