Day 51 - July 28, 2015

It's hot out!

The fly trap babies are enjoying the sunshine, but I'm still a bit careful leaving them in it for too long (due to the overall ambient heat floating around).

That being said, everyone is growing nicely and showing various degrees of individualism including vigour, trap size, shape, colour.

Two of the dark red traps are getting big enough to get OKAY photos of (see below). There are 5 of the maroon coloured traps in my tray and about 22 total seedlings growing.

I wanted to start feeding the two largest seedlings, so I bought some bloodworms. It didn't go terribly well (as can be seen in one of the photos below). I wasn't able to get the meatball far enough into the trap before it closed (the biggest traps are still only 1-2mm wide). I'm going to wait a few more weeks before attempting another feed.

Day 54 - July 31, 2015

I ordered some classy white Hydrofarm pots on ebay because my little seedling tray is starting to fall apart and leak (it's very thin plastic)! So a repotting session is in my near future.

In the mean time... pictures pictures pictures:
