I have had the worst luck trying to get one of these from the store over the past year, but I was finally able to get an FTS purple ambush thanks to Matt and Leah . Oddly enough, this is the first flytrap I have bought from the store. Despite the cold weather and random heavy lake effect snow, it made it here on time and in great shape. Anyway, here are the photos after getting it out of the box. I'll update again after it has been growing for a while.

I am really looking forward to growing it out and getting a nice show of colorful traps. That color in your photos of the plant is what had drawn me in. It will certainly be a beauty .

The growth on this beautiful plant is really coming along well now. While still on the smaller side, the color is rather intense . Here are a couple photos that I took of the darkest trap that opened up last week. It may still develop more color over time.

That is indeed quite purple. I'm curious to see how it will look later in summer.

Sundewwolf: Same here, the color should be much better in full sun. The weather is still too unpredictable this time of year, unfortunately.
