So the Chinese food places around me like to do carry-out in these nifty containers.

I recently decided I would start using them for seed germination! All you need to do is poke a couple holes in the top of the lid, aka the humidity cover, and put your desired medium in the base.

I use them to root violets. The biggest pain is the plastic lid, once it has a crack or a hole in it, it weakens considerably, and I've (on a number of occasions) almost cut my hand if I pressed down too hard and it cracks open. Just remember to seal it by the the sides or just keep it barely on.
