Who do you buy plants from these days Matt.

I think waiting helps me anticipate, and possibly be more happy/surprised when the plant arrives.

It's been a long time since I've purchased any plants personally from anyone in the US. I still order plants from the EU a couple times a year. SEWinans and I went in on an order together in September from CZPlants. I think that was the last time I bought plants.

Thankfully the other Heliamphora arrived on my day off. The second addition is an adult Heliamphora minor that has some juvenile growth as well. Overall it looks like a healthy plant as well. Also, I added a picture of the newly opened pitcher on the H. heterodoxa x nutans. Both plants will be repotted at a later time.

These are some random photos I took while taking care of them all. Many of the Sarracenia have new pitchers open, and also have new ones growing. The FTS Heliamphora minor is starting to grow larger pitchers and seems to be doing fine in the LFSM with a top layer of live moss. I'll just have to keep the moss under control so it doesn't over take the plant.

It is a nice looking plant thus far. I look forward to seeing what the plant looks like when it is mature :). I forgot to mention, that is the newest pitcher that has been grown and also the biggest. Being a leuco, I'm sure it will look good one way or another :D.

That is exactly the piece of wisdom that I can put in my signature. Can I put a quote of it in my signature? :D

Especially the wild ones... Wild leucos, especially at the rheder garden look really good in the fall and a few look at their best in the spring.

While checking on the Drosera seedlings I snapped a few pictures. They may be tiny now, but hopefully they won't be like that for long.

Drosera brevifolia from Kountze, TX, it would have had four carnivorous leaves, but the one I tested a tiny amount of food on died :(.

A lone, diminutive Drosera burmannii from Humpty doo, Australia. I really hope that more of these seeds germinate since the first time around I did not have any germination.

Drosera intermedia, these germinated surprisingly fast for seeds that are a few years old.

VFT that was a hitchhiker in a large amount of Sphagnum that I got last month. I am trying out growing it in 2/3rds dried LFSM with 1/3rd live Sphagnum.
