I think my neighbors think I'm really weird because I go outside so often some days to just stare at plants. And sometimes talk to plants. And sometimes talk to flies... telling them Hotel Wally is beautiful this time of year. Okay my neighbors may have a point.

Today I whispered this to an ant in my VFT pot:
Go on ant,
Explore the world.
Study anything you find.
Go on, follow your senses.

And then, in a sudden turn of things:
It is OK if you die
Death will come anyway
Sooner or later.

You evaluate friends' yards for growing potential and start satellite bogs, which they aren't allowed to touch, of course.

When your brain is able to instantly adjust and mostly compensate for the pink haze of colored LEDs. You only realize it's not normal when a visitor leaves the plant room and acts like they are tripping on acid about how green the world has turned. It's so funny, every time.

...you have a nice thriving pot of Flytraps but you take the bus all the way to the South Seattle Walmart to see if they have any, and seeing that they are all dessicated, buy one barely clinging to life anyway, because you don't have that clone yet, and besides, if you get it back to health you'll have bragging rights.

That actually means that your problem is that your CP problem is not big enough yet. The problem is when you don't even think about hesitating till the choice is between groceries or that Nepenthes.
