We had a really unusual winter this year, first time it has been this cold for this long in about 30 years. I kept my VFTs in my garage during the hard freezes (down to high teens, low 20s for most of the time). They experienced these temps in the garage, but the benefit of the garage is that it doesn't change temperature as fast as the surroundings, and, while it still gets very dry, it helps protect against freezing winds.
Here the VFTs now, all starting to wake up. Those 'King Henry's are certainly the most vigorous, and toughest. They even have some nearly undamaged summer leaves!

This guy, possibly a dente (was a lost-tag plant when I received it), took the most hits during winter, although is getting back into gear again
