I know this was reviewed before, but I was pointed out by a friend of mine on Maxsea 16-16-16. It is quite new here in the Netherlands and I want to give it a go. Mostly on Dionaeas. I have some trouble getting them to grow properly after dividing. I think Maxsea can help getting them over the shock. The problem is the plant divisions won't make proper roots, and thus leaves won't produce either. Do you think Maxsea would help and in what doses? I want to use it on Dionaea, Darlingtonia and Cephalotus. Do you have nice and safe ratios of Maxsea mix to use?

Kind regards,

Youri

I would think a rooting hormone would be a better choice in that case.

As for Maxsea, California Carnivores recommends 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of water, misting plants once per month for general use. Some plants still may not like it (Drosera adelae comes to mind.)

If your plants aren't producing roots, you might just be keeping them too wet

Try using vitamine b1 compound. It helps my plants overcome shock. I use Superthrive, with good results.
Also, try to devide only before they come out of dormancy, to minimize shock
