Just wondering if anyone knows of good, reliable HO 54W bulbs that arent too expensive. I have been using Quantum bulbs for my fixture (2x 6500k & 2x 2900k). A pack of 8 costs $73 (plus shipping), and I would have to buy 1 pack each of the 6500k & 2900k (around $150, plus shipping)!

Just wondering what else out there could give me similar successful results as these Quantum bulbs have.

Try Linens N Things, I've ordered 36' T5 HO's from there and I liked them. The price per bulb may be more but you can order them individually. Plus, free shipping.

I know, you wouldn't normally think of them for these things but I came across it a couple years ago in the planted tank forums.

Maybe the brick and mortar stores, I haven't seen one in a while. But I've ordered from the site as recently as a couple months ago. Got a larger impeller for my filter.

I just linked directly to the first bulb I came across but I would search the site. They carry a variety of brands and color temperature ranges.

I just get mine from local grow shops if needed.
It's just easier as my local delivery drivers are to rough for anything glass
