Can anybody help me identify this sarracenia pitcher plant I just bought? I got it at a local nursery and it didn't have a label on it and I would like to know what species it is. :D

Welcome to the Forum!

Your plant is a Sarracenia hybrid.
It looks like a popular cultivar named Sarracenia 'Bug Bat'.
But that's just my opinion.
I'm not a Sarracenia expert, I'm mostly a Drosera guy.
Someone else will likely chime in and confirm it or correct me.

It needs distilled water, rain water, or Reverse osmosis water. Water should be very pure with a TDS below 50 PPM. Acclimate it over a week or two to full direct sun. Your pot is probably good for another year but then you should repot it in a peatmoss or sphagnum moss mix with no added fertilizer or chemicals.

This forum is loaded with people who will be happy to help.

Good growing,
Mike

Thanks, Mike! I use tap water because where I live the tds of the water is below 50 ppm. I will follow your care reccomendations and see how it works out. This is my first sarracenia so I'm gonna be doing some experimenting with it to see what works best for me and the plant.

Here is a photo of one of my "Bugbats". Looks similar to yours! They are very robust and vigorous growers. Mine are about 12" tall and 3 years old.
