Is using Mystic white pool filter sand good for potting medium? I didnt buy it but it said on the bag that it was quartz so do you think that would work?

U.S. Silica, the manufacturer of the Mystic pool filter sand, has quite a few pure silica products including filter sands and whole-grain sands. Although you would need to read the package or manufacturer's data sheet (available at their website), chances are good that a sand product from U.S. Silica would be fine, except possibly for their "recreation sands," which may be surface deposit sand (from riverbeds, etc.) which may not be pure or almost pure silica.
