This morning I went to my bog to appreciated the plants. Then I noticed that one of my pitcher plants had a red spot on in with the center brown. Has anyone seen this, and if so can you make a diagnosis.

Nothing serious. Similar spots are sometimes receive from the sun but also it can get inside if there are too many insects collected. Did you notice that?

It looks like indigestion, this is a good thing in some ways. Ive not lost a pitcher in the 4 months ive had mine, so I wouldnt worry about it as theyre strong plants!

Its alright to have it though, in the wild im sure the plants just get a more spread out share!

Yes, I noticed that has eaten a lot off bugs, almost to the top. Thanks for your help!

Yeah, my new one (3 days old) is 3/4's of the way up already! I think I need more to spread things out!

it is typical of sarra's to have these red markings, mine have them all year round , dose not affect the plant at all or from what I have seen all mine grow still exceptionally well with these marks ,well over 3/4 for the 100 or so I have have it
