I wish I lived where I could just go for a walk and see various CP's. I bought some Drosera, Flytraps and Sarrs from a guy on eBay that lives in NC. Some of the extra Drosera he sent me were from his back yard.

It was definitely a shock to see coming from a state where CPs are few and far between (Illinois). This particular site had thousands and thousands of D. tracyi individuals growing in the sand right alongside the road in a wet ditch. One piece of construction equipment strays too far off the road and the whole population would be devastated for a while. I assume there are enough seeds in the "soil" there that it would rebound, but it was interesting to think about.
