I noticed what might be an insect eating my growth points on several sarrs. Is that what this is, any idea what might be doing it? If so, treatment? Thanks

Several weeks ago I was trimming some dead pitchers on one of my Sarrs and this guy crawled out of the peat moss. It's the larva of some type of moth we have in the area and it feeds on plant roots while overwintering in the soil. MikeB advised using Safer brand Caterpillar Killer and the problem seems to be solved. He also posted a link to a very useful article about these bugs.
Dig around the perimeter of the rhizome to see if this is the problem. They don't seem to go in very deeply.
