I was wondering about wether or not I should get Hydrogen Peroxide for prevention and treatment and where I should get it from.

I don't think the brand will matter. Use 3% H2O2, which is what is sold in most stores. From most of the instructions I've seen you mix one part H2O2 with two parts water, top water, and let drain through to waste. Wait until the grow mix has dried out some. Use the solution over the next several weeks. Allow the grow mix to dry out some between waterings.

Check your method/technique of watering as root rot can be a cultural problem. Keeping things too wet encourages it. What type of plants are you talking about?
