The Squirrel Defense 5000 has running water!! This is my new watering set up for my plants. I still have to schlep water in 5 gallon jugs from the source but now I can water through a hose. I have a 45 gallon trash can with a 3/4" bulkhead fitting and a 3/4" hose bib. I have a 1/2 inch light duty hose with an on/off valve and sprinkle nozzle. The trash can is on a concrete patio 8 feet above the ground so I am able to use gravity to provide the pressure for the nozzle. I had about 20 gallons in the can and it gave me very good pressure. I expect to get about 3 good soaking watering out of the 45 gallons.

Just curious. In the photo that shows the shade cloth, is the left side of the photo the West side? Trying to figure out if I wanted to bring mine outside, if morning sun for a bit, then indirect the rest of the day is the way to go.

So, looking at the picture, the part at the back is the west side. That entire area actually gets tree shade after about 1pm so the shade cloth there doesn't really do anything. It was just long so I wrapped it around. To the left in the picture is the south side. I have the shade cloth running down half of the length of the enclosure and up to the roof a little. This gives that section a little shade from about 11am on. That is where i keep the neps, tender seedlings, and sphag moss.

So basically, that small section on the left get full sun until about 11 and the rest of the enclosure gets full sun until 1. Does that make sense?

Nice job, Panman! I know the threads a little aged from last year, but there's probably some newbies (like me) that could use the idea! Thanks for sharing!! :D
